Reid was a student under Harry Clarke at the Dublin Metropolitan School before going on to study and work in Paris and London. Her rich career features many highlights, including representing Ireland, alongside Nora McGuiness, at the Venice Biennale 1950. Her work is included in various public and private collections incl. Crawford Art Gallery, Cork; Highlanes Gallery, Drogheda; Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane; Trinity College Dublin; Santa Barbara Museum California; Irish Institute, New York; Model Niland, Sligo and, of course the Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon.
