Join us for a unique, open-air art experience in the beautiful gardens and grounds of Butler Gallery. From 10.00 pm-4.00 pm, seven of Ireland’s leading plein air painters will be painting live and will have a number of completed plein air pieces to view on site, and you're invited!

Whether you're an experienced artist or simply curious, this is a chance to sketch or paint alongside the professionals, observe their techniques, and learn about their materials and creative process. As you explore the grounds, enjoy the immersive atmosphere of artists at work and feel free to engage with them. Ask questions, get inspired, or pick up a brush yourself.

An open-air exhibition of recent plein-air pieces by the artists will be available to view or purchase in the gardens throughout the day.

This free event is open to all. Just bring your curiosity and your art materials if you'd like to join in!

Paper and drawing materials will be provided.
