A special Adult Art Class to coincide with Julián: The Exhibition Cartoon Saloon ;

Join award-winning Irish contemporary jewellery designer Lisa McCormack of Capulet & Montague for a Statement Earring Masterclass, a hands-on creative workshop inspired by Lisa's distinctive approach to colour, form and salvaged materials.

Over 2.5 hours, Lisa will introduce you to her creative process and guide you through designing and making your own statement earrings. You’ll work with a curated collection of colourful acrylic, including recycled and salvaged materials from Lisa’s own jewellery practice, and learn how to combine colour, shape and composition to create a design that reflects your own style.

This is a relaxed and social workshop with plenty of opportunity to experiment, play with ideas and get stuck into the making process. Lisa will share her knowledge and techniques throughout, helping you turn your ideas into a finished pair of wearable art.

No previous jewellery-making or creative experience is needed - just come ready to experiment!

What’s included:

  • 2.5 hours of hands-on making
  • All tools and materials provided
  • A curated selection of colourful acrylic, including recycled and salvaged materials
  • Expert guidance from Lisa throughout the design and making process
  • The opportunity to experiment with colour, shape and composition
  • A relaxed, friendly and creative atmosphere
  • Your own unique pair of statement earrings to take home.

Lisa McCormack is an Irish artist and designer based in Dublin and the founder of Capulet & Montague, a contemporary jewellery practice established over 15 years ago.

Entirely self-taught, Lisa has developed a distinctive practice driven by colour, form and an experimental approach to materials. Working primarily with acrylic, she creates bold, sculptural jewellery and objects that blur the boundaries between wearable art and design. She is recognised as one of Ireland’s leading contemporary jewellery designers.

Salvaged and recycled materials are central to her work. Lisa transforms overlooked and discarded materials through colour, cutting, layering and composition, creating pieces that are unexpected, expressive and joyful.

Lisa created a 38-piece collection exclusively for Brown Thomas, made entirely from salvaged acrylic. The collection was very well received and became a strong expression of her approach to sustainable design, demonstrating how discarded materials can be transformed into contemporary, collectible pieces.

Lisa has won multiple awards for innovation and jewellery design, including Ireland’s Jewellery Designer of the Year. Her work has been showcased internationally, including at London Fashion Week, and is stocked in galleries and independent boutiques across Ireland.
