Youth Ecology Art Summer Course 2024

Monday 15 July to Friday 19 July from 11am - 3.30pm
Saturday 20th July 11am - 1pm Youth Ecology Art Exhibition

Join Butler Gallery's Youth Ecology Art Summer Youth Course for a week of exploring sustainable and eco- friendly art making. This will be a fun and playful week of experimentation with 2D and 3D paper making and hand made and plant based watercolour paints. Learn how to make sustainable art materials from scratch, create individual and collaborative artworks, taking inspiration from established artists and each other!

The week will end with a exhibition of your work in Butler Gallery's Learning and Engagement Centre.

This Summer Course offers young people the chance to work with and learn from professional artists, no previous experience is necessary. This year the programme will be facilitated by visual artist's Mary Conroy and Joanna Hopkins.

Youth Ecology Art is a programme for young people ages 13 to 17, all activities are free and the programme is delivered with inclusion at its core.
