Youth Ecology Art: Habitat Mapping

This workshop led by Artist Tom Duffy and Ecologist and Geologist Una Halpin will examine the resilience of nature in a city environment. Using photography, sound and written word we will map the sights and sounds of the flora and fauna we find on a mini escapade through Kilkenny Skate Park, creating an audio visual walking tour of the plants, minerals and animals we discover there. This will be a fun and playful workshop that allows us to stop and spend a moment with our non human neighbours.

Youth Ecology Art is a programme for 13 to 17 year-olds at Butler Gallery. It offers young people interested in art, ecology, biodiversity and sustainability, the opportunity to work with and learn from professional artists.
