This artist masterclass explores the fundamentals in oil painting, and follows the techniques of the great world painters, often referred to as ‘Atelier training’. This class is for those who would like to learn the basics in oil painting including concepts in form, value, colour mixing, paint handling and application. Through this workshop participants will be helped to achieve confidence in the medium of oil and all its possibilities. The studio is a relaxed, fun and non-judgemental environment where individual tuition will be given, the course is especially helpful for beginner artists of all skill levels, keen to learn the basics, with a finished piece to take home at the end of class.

About the artist:
Pamela studied fine art at NCAD Dublin and the University for the Creative Arts UK. She has exhibited extensively in London at The Malls Galleries with The Royal Institute of Oil Painters, The Royal Society of British Artists, The Society of Women Artists and at The South West Academy. Selected also by The Royal Hibernian Academy Dublin, The Royal Ulster Academy of Arts Belfast and the Royal Scottish Academy of Art and Architecture at the National Galleries of Scotland, Edinburgh. Additionally, Pamela was awarded the residency at Dublin City Council LAB Artists’ Studio, Foley St, Dublin, she continues to run masterclasses and workshops at Wexford Arts Centre while undertaking her private studio practice in painting, exploring themes of place, the nature of
memory and transient landscape.
