Vera Klute is one of Ireland's most critically acclaimed contemporary artists. Working across a range of means and media, she is fascinated by how we see, experience and deal with the external world “as subjective agents”. She observes us – and herself – as the strange creatures we are. The Irish Times.

We are delighted to invite you to a talk by Vera Klute on Wednesday the 4th of October from 7.00-8.00pm. Vera will talk about her work which will be accompanied by video that will illustrate her creative process.

In addition, the galleries will be open until 9.00pm offering a chance to visit the gallery mid-week in the evening and view our collection and our main exhibition The Art of Sport, curated by Anna O’Sullivan, Director of Butler Gallery. You can also view a short programme of archive sport films curated by the Irish Film Institute in our Digital Gallery.

This late night opening is in support of the Night-Time Economy After Hours at the Museum Scheme.
