Exhibition Opening: Saturday 12th October, 3.00 - 5.00pm. All Welcome.

Ciara Roche’s first large-scale museum exhibition will include very small and very large new paintings. These new paintings of domestic scenes and public places reference source imagery from the artists own photography, film stills and found imagery. Roche will continue to explore representational image making using wet and quickly applied paint to create a sense of luminosity and movement on the surface. The paintings will explore themes around desire, fantasy and fear with scenes revealing clues to the audience as to the nature of this painted world through use of theatrical lighting and staging revealing an uncanny world held in suspense.
