Butler Gallery 80th Anniversary Friends Party

A special celebration awaits with Butler Gallery's 80th Anniversary Summer Party!

Join us to commemorate Butler Gallery’s 80 years of history while also looking forward to our exciting future, amongst the beautiful surrounds of our historic building and walled garden. Enjoy a delicious summer menu and drinks as well as live open-hearted jazz music from the Carole Nelson Trio. You can also enjoy exclusive access to the museum and a private viewing of our Collection Galleries and our Main Gallery exhibition.

Established in 1943 by George Pennefather, originally as the Kilkenny Art Gallery Society, Butler Gallery has become a vibrant contemporary art gallery, committed to exhibiting the work of Irish and emerging artists and to bringing the work of major international artists to Kilkenny. From the medieval Kilkenny Castle to now three years at Evans’ Home, all audiences are welcome to Butler Gallery to discover the works of living artists and the gallery’s permanent collections.
