Butler Gallery Announces Partnership with State Street Ireland

Butler Gallery is delighted to announce a multi-annual partnership with State Street Ireland.

The partnership, will help sustain Butler Gallery’s contemporary exhibitions and learning and public engagement events and is further testimony to State Street Ireland’s continued commitment to supporting the cultural offering of the city and for the people of Kilkenny. The multinational which first opened its offices in Kilkenny 21 years ago, is in the midst of building new state of the art offices for the existing 650 plus strong Kilkenny workforce, along with additional roles currently being recruited, for new global cybersecurity and technology unit as well as client serviced operational groups.

Welcoming the partnership, Cathal Smyth, Managing Director, General Manager of State Street’s Kilkenny office said “State Street Ireland, is keen to create long-term value for our clients, employees, shareholders and communities, and it is extremely important to us that our values and principles keep us connected to the communities where we live and work. We are a free cultural attraction and this kind of multiannual partnership is essential for our programme to help us support living artists and all audiences, and central to encouraging more people to visit and enjoy Butler Gallery as part of a wider Kilkenny culture and tourism offering”.

Butler Gallery welcomed nearly 45,000 visitors in 2022 and with the help of State Street Ireland, are committed to ensuring great art is enjoyed and accessed by as many visitors as possible.
