Kilkenny based theatre and arts company Monkeyshine undertook a two-week residency in November 2024.
The Garden Studio was a base for engagement with community groups and local schools on a series of developmental workshops as part of a new participatory project called Home Sweet Home, exploring ideas of home in a changing world. Over the residency Monkeyshine worked with their team of artists, creatives and groups of participants young and old who brought many different perspectives on what Home means to them. This development work will inform a new show Home Bird touring nationally and premiering in The Watergate Theatre in 2025.
