Printmaking: Climate Activism with artist Michelle McMahon and Curator Rachel Botha
Age: 13-17 years
Design and print your own climate activism image with artist and printmaker Michelle McMahon. This three day course will begin with a talk from Kilkenny County Council's Biodiversity Officer Bernadette Moloney on biodiversity priorities in County Kilkenny, followed by a presentation from curator Rachel Botha on the Celebrate People's History posters, a diverse set of posters that bring to life successful moments in the history of social justice struggles.
Taking inspiration from both, you will design and make a Lino plate, learn to print on paper and textiles and take home your own print, poster and garment.
This Spring Course offers young people the chance to work with and learn from professional artists, no previous experience is necessary.
Butler Gallery's Youth Ecology Art is a programme for young people ages 13 to 17, all activities are free and the programme is delivered with inclusion at its core.
You must be available for all three days to take part.
