Youth Art Training Programme

Butler Gallery is delighted to launch its brand new Youth Art Training Programme for 13 to 17 year olds from across County Kilkenny. This creative project, delivered by professional artists, will consist of 6 arts based workshops in May and June and culminate with a one week summer school the last week of July. The theme for the programme is the climate emergency and we are looking to recruit 10 young people who are passionate about both art and climate action.

This is an excellent and unique opportunity for young people to creatively engage in the climate response while learning new skills and meeting like minded young people and mentors. The programme will be delivered with social inclusion at its core and is free of charge.

As part of our recruitment process for the programme we will be running online workshops throughout March for schools and youth groups across the county, inviting young people to sign up and take part.
