National Drawing Day 2022

Butler Gallery is proud to be participating once again in National Drawing Day!

National Drawing Day, 21^st May is a national celebration of all things mark-making, with workshops and events happening across Ireland. At Butler Gallery, this is a drop-in family friendly event with activities for all ages and artistic abilities.

Some activities will include a Life-Drawing Marathon in our garden, Early Years Sensory Garden, a Collective Mural on the construction hoardings currently around our Children’s Garden, Drawing Exercises at the Learning Centre and Chalk Pavement Art on the front ramp.

We want you to bring your energy and your curiosity to make this National Drawing Day 2022 at Butler Gallery a celebration of our community creativity!

Note: The Life Drawing Marathon taking place in our garden all day will have models from the community, including Youth Theatre models who will enact dioramas from paintings in our collection. We have a limit of 10 easels available, so we are opening bookings slots to use the easels in advance. Drawing boards will be available for anyone else who wants to join in the marathon.
