Biomaterials in Artistic Practice

A free workshop for adults in conjunction with Kilkenny Science Festival

This free hands-on workshop will provide participants with introductory knowledge on how to create bio-based objects and materials. Participants will learn practical methods for creating biodegradable "resins" and "plastics." Experimenting with gelatin, agar-agar, everyday kitchen items and waste streams such as single use plastic, we will create a variety of alternative artistic materials.
