In this class, we will be painting directly from nature. Setting up
in a location near the Butler Gallery, participants will receive
practical guidance on how to approach this unique and rewarding
experience. We will address questions like, the choice of view for a
satisfying composition, first steps towards constructing a landscape,
how to achieve a feeling of depth, how to get the most from a simple
palette. At the end of the day, participants will bring home their
Kilkenny landscape but perhaps more importantly, their experience of
space and observation in real time.
This class is open to all artistic skill levels.
